Our clinic operates on the traditional land of the Atikameksheng Anishinaabe peoples. This territory was the subject of the Robinson-Huron Treaty, an agreement between the First Nations leaders and the British Crown which formalized their rights towards the land. We acknowledge the enduring presence, knowledge, and philosophies of many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples living in the Sudbury region today. As a speech therapy clinic, we also want to acknowledge the beauty of Indigenous languages and the value and importance they have held throughout history and continue to hold today.
